I designed this bangle in Spring 2024, initially to take a break from wax carving and casting experiments I was doing. But also because I wanted to create a more minimal and durable version of the Buddhist gold leaf bangles, to take with me to Portugal on an initiation with my teacher Yena. Now it is an absolute staple, I wear one every day.
It is funny how such a simple piece can carry so much meaning after wearing it during significant times. I have been wearing at least one everyday since.
